About The LPFD

The Longport Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the community since 1912. Our department is staffed by dedicated volunteers who undergo rigorous training to respond to various emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and other public safety matters. We are proud to be an integral part of the Longport community. Members training every Monday night (usually starting at 19:00). These drills allow our members to be at their top performance to ensure they are ready to respond to our communities emergencies-where and whenever that may be. The department  was founded on the idols of "nieghbors helping neighbors." Being a primarily small town, our founders and current day members understand this principle, and respond to every emergency as if their family's life was at risk, with the utmost strength, diligence, and unity to save lives and protect property.
